In a recent webinar, JCADA and Jeanine Cummins unpacked the themes of power-based violence in her best-selling book, American Dirt. Below are some highlights.
Together, we learned about the challenges facing migrants, the ways crime victims are regularly mistreated in society, and discovered the inspiration and extensive research that went into creating American Dirt. Jeanine certainly gave us all a lot to think about!
Please click here to learn more about Jeanine's other works, including A Rip in Heaven which tells the story of her own family's experience as victims of violent crime. We hope you will join us again in December to discuss the intersection of power-based violence and racial justice. Only by bringing these important issues to light, can we hope to create a safer and more just world. As always, our December program will be FREE for members of Friends of JCADA. Please stay tuned for registration details! Thank you for being part of the movement to end power-based violence and for supporting JCADA's work! We cannot support victims without the support of our amazing community and that's YOU!
