WHAT WE DO

JCADA provides a variety of support services that are all

100% confidential, free, and culturally and faith-sensitive.

SUPPORT & SERVICES.

JCADA serves all victims and survivors of power-based violence, as well as their friends and families, who are 14 years of age and older currently living in the greater Washington area. JCADA’s services are free of charge and provided without regard to race, national origin, ability, background, faith, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation or immigration status.

Crisis

Support

JCADA operates a free and confidential helpline during business hours, where callers can receive information, support, and safety planning. Callers can be either survivors or victims of power-based violence, seeking support for themselves, witnesses to power-based violence, or individuals concerned about someone who may be experiencing power-based violence.

In limited circumstances, JCADA can offer in-person crisis counseling. This service does not guarantee continued individual counseling at JCADA.

Eligibility

Language Services

JCADA advocates assist existing/ enrolled clients with many other needs that fall outside traditional legal or clinical support.

Services include: 

  • Language Interpretation 

  • Public Assistance Applications 

  • Court Accompaniment

  • Financial Planning 

  • Case Management

Current clients of the clinical or legal program are eligible for victim advocacy services.

Individuals calling specifically regarding victim advocacy services will be redirected to one of our partner agencies who can better serve them.

In addition to English, JCADA also employees clinicians who are able to give therapy in Spanish and Hebrew.

 

For all other languages, JCADA will arrange the necessary translation services at no cost to the client.
