JCADA’s College Ambassadors program engages Jewish undergraduate and graduate students (18-24) in the important work of preventing intimate partner violence (IPV), navigating relationships, and building healthier and safer campus communities. Through education, discussion, peer connection, and an interactive final project, students will gain practical skills and knowledge they can carry into their personal life, future career, and greater community.

As a JCADA College Ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on your campus while developing leadership skills, building community, and helping create a future free from abuse. Through education, advocacy, and awareness-building, College Ambassadors put Jewish values into action in tangible ways.

Kavod- means “respect” or "honor." At JCADA, we believe every person deserves dignity, autonomy, and respect. College Ambassadors uphold this value by honoring survivors' experiences, promoting consent and healthy communication, and helping build campus communities rooted in mutual respect.

Kehillah- means "community." Strong communities are built on trust, inclusion, and mutual care. As ambassadors, students help strengthen Jewish campus life by fostering conversations about healthy relationships, supporting peers, and creating spaces where everyone feels valued and safe.

Lo Ta’amod- means “do not stand idly by.” This Jewish value calls on us to take action when others are at risk. By speaking up, challenging harmful behaviors, educating your communities, and promoting healthy relationship norms, you are creating change.

Pikuach Nefesh- means “saving a life.” In Judaism, every other commandment is overridden by the mitzvah of saving a life. Pikuach Nefesh is an important value at JCADA; the work we do helping survivors and educating the community is lifesaving.

Shalom Bayit- means “peace in the home.” By engaging with JCADA, you are helping to promote peaceful living spaces for all. Educating the community about safety at home and supporting survivors ability to access safe, equitable, and peaceful homes is essential to a future free from abuse.

Tzedek- means "justice." Jewish tradition teaches that creating a just society is a shared responsibility. By working to prevent abuse, challenge harmful norms, and create safer campus communities, College Ambassadors help advance justice and equity for everyone.
