PURPLE SHABBAT

October 23-24, 2026

Over 1 in 3 (35.6%) women and 1 in 4 men (28.5%) in the US have experienced rape, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime.

(National Domestic Violence Hotline)

Gift cards are an incredibly meaningful way to support the survivors we serve by offering flexibility, choice, and the ability for survivors to meet their own needs with dignity and independence. Giving gift cards to JCADA clients allows us to empower survivors to purchase essentials such as food, household necessities, clothing, and gas based on what works best for them and their families.

Every gift card makes a difference. Your generosity helps survivors meet their immediate needs while preserving their dignity, choice, and independence as they work toward safety and stability. Thank you for helping us support survivors in this meaningful way!

If you cannot find what you are looking for, have a specific request that is not reflected in the materials, or have any other questions, please email us.

PRINTABLE RESOURCES

Let us know your plan!

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month and during Purple Shabbat, we encourage you to share resources and information with your community about IPV. Displaying these materials helps to destigmatize the issue of IPV, gives people language to explore healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors, and empower your constituents to openly engage in productive conversations around the issue of abuse and violence, which contributes to the health and wellbeing of our communities. The toolkit below links to a variety of one page, fast-fact, informational sheets about IPV, and how to get involved with JCADA.

Thank you to our community for participating in 2026!

I received the gift cards, and I cannot thank you enough. The stress of not having enough money is just overwhelming right now. Of course, my therapist helps me with techniques to try to diminish the stress, and now these gift cards have helped me so so much. I thank Gd for her and for you and for JCADA!
